Are my images uploaded when I edit them?
No. Scissor Image runs an image engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your images are read from your device into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.
Can I undo a change?
Double-click a slider to put it back to zero, or select Reset to start again. In the app, every saved step can also be undone.
Does it lower the quality?
JPGs are saved at high quality and PNGs stay lossless. The adjustments themselves are applied once, at full size.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark added to your images. Because the work happens on your own device, there is no server cost per image for us to recover.
