Your files
Images you open in Scissor Image are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see, store, share or recover them.
What our server sees
Like any website, our server and content delivery network receive standard request information when your browser downloads the site's pages and files: IP address, requested address, time, and browser user agent. This is used only to operate and secure the service and to count aggregate traffic, and is not combined with other data or sold.
Anonymous usage statistics
To see which tools are used and fix what breaks, the site counts page views and a few events, such as which tool was opened, whether it finished and how long it took. These counts contain no file names, no file contents, no IP address and no identifier that follows you: no cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device for this. They go to our own customer care service on this domain, never to an analytics company. See exactly what is collected and how long it is kept.
Error reports
When a tool fails or the page runs into an unexpected error, it sends our own customer care service a short technical report: the type of error, the tool's error code, where in our code it happened, the page, your browser and the version of the site. The report never contains your file, its name or its contents, and is used only to find and fix the problem.
Feedback, bug reports and contact messages
If you choose to rate a tool, report a problem or send us a message, we receive what you type, the page you were on, the name of your browser and operating system and, if you add them, your email address and a screenshot. Your image is never attached. We use this only to answer you and improve Scissor Image, keep it no longer than needed for that, and never share or sell it.
Cookies
Scissor Image sets no cookies and uses no advertising or third-party trackers. Your browser stores the site's files for offline use, and may keep a file briefly in local storage when you choose "Continue with" to pass a result to another tool; it is removed as soon as the next tool opens it.
Mac app waitlist
If you join the Mac app waitlist, we store your email address, the language of the page you used, and the time and wording of your consent. We use it only to send you an email when the Mac app is available, and never share or sell it. The address is stored encrypted by our own customer care service, not with a third-party mailing service. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, which deletes your address immediately; you can also ask us to delete it at any time. Signing up is optional and unrelated to using the image tools, which never send your images anywhere.
