or drop them here
Files never leave your device · Free, no sign-up · No watermark
How to convert WebP to JPG
- Choose or drop your WebP images. You can add several.
- Check the options and pick a quality.
- Select Convert to JPG, then download the image or a ZIP of all of them.
Why JPG
JPG opens in every app, phone, printer and website form. WebP is smaller but some older programs and upload forms still refuse it.
Quality
JPG is saved at quality 90 by default, which looks the same as the original for photos. Move the slider down for smaller files.
Questions about WebP to JPG
Are my images uploaded when I convert WebP to JPG?
No. Scissor Image runs an image engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your images are read from your device into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; each is converted, and you download them together as a ZIP file.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. PNG and WebP keep transparency exactly.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark added to your images. Because the work happens on your own device, there is no server cost per image for us to recover.
