How to add a filter to a photo

  1. Choose or drop your photo.
  2. Select a filter tile. Open Fine-tune to adjust it further.
  3. Select Apply filter, then download.

The filters

Vivid, Punch, Warm, Golden, Cool, Soft, Matte, Film, Faded, Mono and Noir, plus the Original to compare against.

Fine-tune

Every filter is a set of the same adjustments as Adjust photo, so you can change the brightness, warmth or vignette on top of it.

Questions about Photo filters

Are my images uploaded when I add a filter?

No. Scissor Image runs an image engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your images are read from your device into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Can I use the same filter on several photos?

Yes. Add them all; each one gets the same filter and adjustments, and you download them together as a ZIP.

Will it look the same on Instagram?

The look is saved into the photo itself, so it looks the same wherever you post it.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark added to your images. Because the work happens on your own device, there is no server cost per image for us to recover.
